Description
The Compound Fracture dual drive pedal is a 2-in-1 combination of two identical iconic overdrive pedal circuits in one box: our take on the classic Marshall Bluesbreaker overdrive. For added flexibility, the Compound Fracture offers effect order switching, so you can have either drive circuit first in the chain.
Both drive circuits feature their own selector switch that offers the choice between hard diode clipping (heavier drive with more compression) or soft diode clipping (more moderate overdrive). This allows for a wide array of single and stacked drive tones, ranging from uncompressed, spongy, dynamic soft overdrive through a heavy drive tone ranging into 80s/90s distortion territory with loads of sustain and note compression.
The Compound Fracture uses the same innovative bypass switching setup as our MacGuffin dual overdrive, which allows for On/On, Flip Flop, and Momentary bypassing modes. The bypass modes are: one channel on at a time, flip/flop between each channel, or switch both channels on at once (with momentary bypass on the second foot switch for stutter effects). Best of all, the Compound Fracture remembers which mode you prefer, even if you unplug the power supply.
As with all full-size Function f(x) pedals, the Compound Fracture sports a soft-touch, relay-based true bypass switching system.
